Bob Rodi is the Managing Member and chief executive of Mount Pleasant Capital, LLC. He has 31 years of experience in Specialty and Franchise Finance. Mr. Rodi served as the President of the UAEL (United Association of Equipment Leasing, now the National Equipment Finance Association) in 2000 after 6 years as a board member and officer. Mr. Rodi is widely recognized for his expertise in credit scoring technology and he has led the effort to customize the Fair Isaac Liquid Credit® product for franchise lending.
In 1994 he co-designed the leasing industry’s first automated interface that linked proprietary software with the Fair-Isaac scoring system. That system was subsequently customized for franchise lending and deployed in a web based interface. He has also represented the leasing and specialty finance industry on the Fair-Isaac client advisory board for North American markets.
In 2001, at the request of the US Dept. of Commerce, he assisted in the Internship Training Program (SABIT) for the Russian Specialty Finance Delegation and he was later selected as a lead instructor for the training of the Specialty Finance delegation from the Zhejiang Central Bank, Zhejiang Province, China.
Mr. Rodi is a frequent speaker and instructor at both franchise and finance industry conferences and has also been invited to speak at the NAELB, (National Association of Equipment Lease Brokers), the ELFA (Equipment Leasing and Finance Association) and the RMA (Risk Management Associates) NEFA (North American Equipment Finance Association) and IFA (International Franchise Association). He served as the representative for the Small Business Financial Exchange, a data exchange initiative that was developed by major banks, leasing companies and Equifax. He was one of the original members of the Leasingnews Advisory Board, a founding member of the CLP foundation, and a contributing author of the Leasing Professional’s Handbook. He has also served as an expert witness in trials involving complex finance and leasing issues.
In February of 2012 he was named as the California University of PA, Eberly College of Science and Technology, outstanding alumnus for 2012.
Rodi is a 1973 Graduate of California University of PA with a degree in Economics.
